Caught a glimpse of a couple of deer this weekend. I love moments like this, when it’s possible to pause and make eye contact. We have amazing meadows and wildflowers in the Leelanau, too.

The Leland Yacht Club will host the National One-Design Championship regatta for the twentieth time since 1950. Local sailors expected to participate include Biff Steel and Dave Higley. Races are expected to begin at 10:30 am Thursday through Saturday, with the award ceremony Saturday afternoon.

A storm rolled through Leland yesterday and I must have headed in the wrong direction because the images I saw over the harbor were great. But I always go to the harbor, so I headed out to East Leland instead. Earlier today, I zoomed in on my Mom’s Daisy garden and found a hitchhiker.
