Vol XVII – #342 – Daylight Savings Time… Why?

The TV weatherman promised sunshine this afternoon, not so far.  I don’t know why we have Daylight Savings Time (DLST), does anyone?

  After a snowy, very cloudy morning, the sky is showing some sunshine. The temperature at 11:30 is 40 degrees.       The couple below is building the yellow house on Main Street .

Vol XVII – #339 – Let It Snow!, Let It Snow!, Let it Snow!

  We were forewarned last night before we went to bed that 5 inches of new would greet us in the morning and it did.  The roads were in miserable condition for our morning trip to town and no better at noon. Winter ain’t over.

We headed north of the 45th parallel this weekend, to check out the blue ice that is pushed up onto shore near the Mackinac Bridge. This phenomenon happens when conditions are just right.   A frosty 21 degrees at sunrise, rising into the upper 30’s.  Blue sky and no wind gave us another beautiful day. SAD NEWS: Received word of the passing of Eugene Hadjisky (Hadj)
