Took a hike through a now defrosted Kettles Trail with my daughter. The last hike was so icy, I seemed to be a much longer trail. North Beach shadows and waning ice. In the spring, the sun shines one one side of the driftwood on the breakwall, leaving the other side in shadow. The shadow side melts last, leaving a nicely framed outline of the driftwood. The main photo just looked like a howling wolf.

As I headed back down to Illinois, I took a chance on some two-track trails I passed by on past trips up M22 near Esch Rd Beach.
