Vol XV #144 – It Was a Cloudy Sunny Day

It was a very quiet and calm morning on the beach with a little drizzle in the air.  Gee, I think I said that yesterday.  We had a nice overnight rain and the was fresh and clean, actually the air is fresh and clean every morning.  Today must be Biscuit’s day because he’s in every photo except the aerial. … Read more »

Vol XV #137 – Bluer Than Blue

Big Blue with a big blue sky was a destination early this morning for a lot of visitors. Biscuit and I drove to Glen Arbor this afternoon and saw a few units removing the fallen trees along the road, but for the most part it was clean between the Old School House and the bridge just before Glen Arbor. … Read more »

Vol XV #130 – A Perfect Leland Day Indeed

All the Charter boats were out on Big Blue early this morning leaving the home port empty. Leland was lucky in the aftermath of Sunday’s storm, Glen Arbor not so.  The access to the dunes and Stocking Drive are all closed to traffic as well as Glen Haven, Glen Arbor along with the surrounding area. Thousands are still without… Read more »

This week is the last week of Sailing School at the Leland Yacht Club, our grandkids, Meredith and Daniel Burnham along with Biscuit and the rest of the crew sat for a group picture. Our power outage lasted approx. 46 hours, not bad considering that the prediction was for Thursday at 4:00 pm which would have meant about 90… Read more »
