Vol XVI – #196 – Cloudy and a Little Warmer, No Color

Another day waiting for the color to start showing.  In past years there always some color developing but this year… not much.  When it does happen, it happens fast, sometimes overnight, maybe tomorrow.

Vol XVI – #195 – Meggen’s Monday

A perfect, crisp, clear fall day is here… perfect for watching various wildlife in Leland harbor: salmon swimming and jumping upriver, heron swooping over the breakwater, gulls flying about. Best wishes on this Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day!

Vol XVI – #192 – Clearing In the West, I Think

The day didn’t start out dark and dreary, a cold front moving through brought with it some wind, a little rain along with cooler temperatures. Our thoughts and prayers for all in harms way on the east coast.

Vol XVI – #191 – Sunshine and Warmer… Then Clouds and Rain That’s On it’s Way

It’s been a beautiful day so far but… rain is on it’s way.  Gee, that’s what I said yesterday.

Vol XVI – #189 – Nice AM, PM Clouds

A beautiful beginning with the promise of blue sky and warming temperatures.  The early afternoon blue turned to gray, never the less… a beautiful day.

Vol XVI – #188 – Meggen’s Monday

Fall colors are beginning to emerge here and there, especially the maples. With overcast skies above, and still some blue open sky visible on the horizon, it’s a classic (early) fall day.

Vol XVI – #187 – Soon It’s Gonna Rain… I Can Feel It

Not the best weekend for having a wedding, heard that there were three.  Falling Waters was full up and town had a lot of visitors.  Weather radar  showed a counter clockwise rotating line of showers over Leelanau County, nowhere else.
