Vol XV #156 – Meggen’s Monday

It was a weekend full of end-of-summer hubbub in Leland. It felt like summer!  With great sadness we announce the passing of Leo Jerry G. Shea, one of the mainstays of our Leland Community.  Our heartfelt condolences to his wife Patty,  Katie, Loretta, Michael,  Kevin, Kerry and their families.

Vol XV #154 – Some Days Don’t Start Out Nice

A rainy morning, but the clouds thinned and the sun came out to make it nice again.  This past week has been a bummer for our visitors and renters as far as the outdoor activities go, but the merchants didn’t do to badly.,.

Vol XV #142 – Meggen’s Monday

Vol XV #134 – Ready, Set, Go

A beautiful Sunday morning in Leland, especially if you caught the Big One on The Cutter Too.  The rest of the catch was pretty special also.  It’s been a great season for the sports fisherman this year.

Vol XV #124 – Van’s Beach On a Breezy Morning

The morning began breezy with a chance of beautiful and it was.  The harbor was full up with a few hanger backs because of the wind out of the west at 16 mph. Of course local businesses like this a lot as it keeps captive boaters in town to shop and dine.

Vol XV #120 – Cloud Wars

One of the great Sunday joys we have available here in Leelanau County are the Church Chicken Dinners.  Today it was Holy Rosary in Isadore and it’s finger lickin good. Jack Duffy and his family invited Biscuit to join them in a photo shoot.
