This Monday morning started off overcast and drizzly. The weekend was absolutely beautiful, however, with displays of cloud patterns worthy of pausing to look. Yesterday the Joy returned right away, having encountered strong northwest winds and rolling waves. By the time the sun’s afterglow graced the harbor, however, the night was completely still.
A delightful day in the Leelanau. The morning on the cool side but also on the bright side. A early afternoon trip to the Northport Lighthouse was our highlight of the day.
A beautiful morning after a thunderous overnight storm. A perfect day for the 2016 Leland Wine Festival.
A beautiful beginning to another fine day. Mid-afternoon the clouds started rolling in and thunderstorms are forecasted for the overnight. Above the harbor parking lot is being prepared for the 2016 Leland Wine Festival. Below is a vineyard where this years crop might be featured at a future festival.
Another fine day, hopefully it will continue through the weekend and the Wine Festival on Saturday.
What difference a day makes! Spring returned this morning with temps on the cool side. All in all the day was mighty fine with Mr Sunshine. Biscuit and I delivered 27 signed “Leland Report” books to the book store this morning.
Brrrrr best describes this mornings weather, cold and windy. I wore my winter coat with a hood and was glad I did when I ventured out to the shore. I’m having a difficult time walking, especially uphill and in the sand, so I’m not sure how long I can continue to visit my favorite morning destinations. I’ll do it until… Read more »
