Down to the big city in the other Leland Report Jeep today. The color started right outside our door. On the way back up, a quick stop off M72 for a drone flight, and then at the boat launch on Lime Lake. There are a lot of things in this photo, bottom to top, Maple City Rd (667), Little… Read more »
I’m back up for the week so I took the sunny and unseasonably warm day to tour the area for some color in the Leland Report jeep. Yes, no back tire, but it’s flat, so really doesn’t do any good. Anyway, there is a busted hinge pin back there and the tire wasn’t helping. It looks like between peak… Read more »
The 2023 Leland Report Calendar is currently at the printers and I expect to ship by the end of this October. We no longer post every day, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have images to share. We thank you for your support as you make this worthwhile for us. I am limiting the printing to 200 calendars this… Read more »
I’m back home in Illinois, but it was an eventful week. Reunited with old friends at Riverside Inn at the beginning of the trip and then at a memorial for Nick Sica on our way back. My sister “The Mar” came in from Oregon and reunited with an old friend and Leland Report follower Amy Evans Rullo at… Read more »
After the rain stopped, it looked like a good time to visit the dunes again near the Cannery off M109. The clouds helped me out again while we were there.
Two days of great weather went away with the wind today. With “The Mar” here to visit, it was a good day for a wine tasting at 45 North and Soul Squeeze. Color is popping out quickly, the pic at the top was on M204 between Lake Leelanau and Leland. The wind today was stiff out of the NW,… Read more »
Summer is hanging on by it’s teeth and today might be the end of our perfect weather. Usually when I come up, I bring bad weather, but not this time. Maybe my luck has changed. Spent four hours this afternoon vacuuming dog hair out of the Leland Report Jeep, but I’ll never get all of it. Biscuit will always be… Read more »
I saw a comment on the last report, someone was concerned there was something wrong since there hasn’t been a report posted in a month. Back when Keith was physically able to post a photo, you would see a Report every day, almost guaranteed. But times change and currently I am the only one posting. I do not live… Read more »
I was inside doing some work for my job when I got a clue that there were some really nice clouds outside. Basically, Keith turned to me and said, “look outside”. So the lake was my office for the rest of the afternoon! I knew the National One Design Regatta was happening, so I took my camera with me. Perfect… Read more »
Supermoon rose tonight at 8:41. I sometimes pass on photographing the moon because it’s really never different each time. You can’t really tell it’s a Super Moon (coming a bit closer to Earth than normal so appears larger), so it’s helpful to have some other point of interest in the shot. These clouds worked well. Also, the boat passing… Read more »
