Rain moved in around 8 am this morning and delayed our journey to the lakeshore.  I put the safari top on the Wrangler at noon and Biscuit and I headed for Fishtown.  Probably a dozen people, half with… Read more »

Vol XVI – #161 – Where Did Everybody Go?

A thunderstorm just roared through and the power went out.  The Generac kicked in and is doing it’s job for the past half hour..  What is interesting is that cable didn’t go off and the internet  is still with us.  The sun is now shinning. Anyway, Day after Labor Day and town is empty.

Vol XVI – #128 – What Can You Say…?

Except that it’s a very nice day.  Reminder: Keith and Jim will be down in Fishtown from 2-5pm on Saturday 8/6 to sell and sign books. $1 from every sale of the book goes to the Fishtown Preservation Society. That’s not just today, that’s ongoing. Come on down! Meggen Watt Petersen and Sandra Serra Bradshaw will also be there.

Vol XVI – #123 – A Nice Day For a Boatride

Hard to miss is the new cottage being built on Cemetery Point.  All the guest rooms have a great view of the Leland Yacht Club sailboat races.  After it’s finished, hopefully it will be included in a future House Walk.
