(Report by Jim) The Christmas Eve family party was a Riverside IL thing for as long as I can remember. As my cousins moved northward one by one, the tradition moved to Leland (and to Northport this year). It’s what we all have in common going back four generations (depending on who you ask). So, from our family to yours,… Read more »

Report by Jim Great hike with Erin scouting the Bay View trail on the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore circuit. This one is just south of the road to Pyramid Point. Take Port Oneida Rd. and take a left onto Miller Rd. to the turnabout. Weather didn’t cooperate with a heavy wind and low temperatures, but the view didn’t disappoint… Read more »

Report by Jim Leland was crowded this morning, with the pajama sale and Holly Pop going on. Everyone but me got up super early to get in on the action. Lots of action as well down on the beach. Hope your day after Thanksgiving was a pleasant one. ♥

I know this year is right because I took a video of the presentation tonight. But, we had fun with the mix up. The Leland… Read more »

(Report by Jim today) I got the distinct pleasure of driving up in the immense downpour that plagued Michigan last night and flooded Leland streets this morning. Doing that at night in a construction zone is never fun. I’ve only walked down the beach to Whaleback once in the past and decided to do it today, in the rain. Well, it wasn’t… Read more »
