Not the best weekend for having a wedding, heard that there were three. Falling Waters was full up and town had a lot of visitors. Weather radar showed a counter clockwise rotating line of showers over Leelanau County, nowhere else.
In spite of the occasional downpours, Fishtown was a busy place. It was standing room only for lunch.
It’s been a couple of dark and windy days but blue sky do I see. Looking north from South Beach you can see the beach covered with stones, a rocker’s paradise. What kind of morning was it?… A windy one. The kind that wants to knock you off your feet. The kind that knocks trees over.
Some nights offer a beauty of their own. Just before moonrise four days ago, fast-moving clouds caught that light, and I set up the shot at the top. It’s a 30-second exposure to capture cloud movement. Milky Way, below. And a fish net. Just because. (Note that today, Monday, is cloudy, windy, and rainy.)
This morning, we had clear skies overhead, now decorated with a few puffy clouds. Today’s second and third photos are iPhone “shots over the bow,” at sunset last night and late afternoon Saturday. These days have been and continue to be pure delight!
Earlier this week the forecast for today wasn’t too good… rain! Well it didn’t happen that way. The sky opened up with billowing white clouds and on a background of blue and it was a great day to enjoy some beautiful old cars and boats.
